"Don't You Step On My Blue Suede Shoes"

I want to wish you all a Happy Friday! While Fridays sadly do not happen frequently enough, an even more rare occurrence is myself in pants. I couldn't pass up this pair from a vintage shop in New Haven, Connecticut. You just know that it has to be an exciting, fantastic day when you're wearing a pair of crazy, patterned pants. They were quite wide at a leg, though, which was a little too crazy for me, so I altered them a bit for a slimmer fit.

Even when I add a bold bright blue shirt and matching shoes, I still feel like the highlight of my outfit is my pants. Don't ever be afraid of a unique or busy print. Take a chance and at least try it on...and then walk out the door of the store in the garment (after you pay, of course)!

Outfit highlights: Thrifted cotton pants, blue suede Chinese Laundry boots, and an incredibly comfortable Gap cashmere cardigan.

Style tip: Bright cobalt blue is an exciting color choice that I promise looks good on everyone.

Song of the day: "Blue Suede Shoes" by Elvis Presley.

If you hadn't noticed, I'm a music junkie and have been using song lyrics as my blog titles. I am going to give credit to the musicians and start posting the songs. I have added the songs to my past two blog posts, so go check them out also if you like!
