"Neon Lights Guiding Me Far From Where I Came"

I got a bit carried away with the weather this past weekend. It almost hit sixty, which shouldn't quite call for a crop top vest but I decided to wear one for this shoot anyway! I totally didn't need my photographer's coat on the walk back or anything.

I loved that the sky was a dusky blue color as the sun went down, highlighting the cool colors in my look. This quilted turquoise, paisley vest is great layered over a more wintery outfit or worn alone. It's actually made out of a longer, long-sleeved brocade jacket from a thrift store in a Cape Cod church basement (those are seriously the best). I adjusted the neckline and finished the armholes and bottom,  pairing the piece with a neutral circle skirt. Wearing a big belt with a skirt with a crop top is a fun, unique option I recommend trying out.

Outfit Highlights: Quilted bag by Charming Charlie, socks by Simply Vera from Kohl's, handknit hat by my mom, and reconstructed vest by me

Style Tip: Stick to a couple main colors in your look and wear different shades of them.

Song of the Day: "Ghost Train" by Summer Camp
