"We're captive on the carousel of time, we can't return we can only look behind from where we came, and go round and round and round in the circle game"

I had a lovely weekend with my mom who came into the city to spend three nights with me! We were lucky to have had lots of delicious food and sweets, some fun sightseeing like at the Met, and also got to watch Newsies on Broadway. Luckily the rain held off which was another blessing. This look is my casual weekend outing ensemble, with a new lace top, some simple jewelry, and comfortable, stretchy denim. A lace shirt like this may be more expensive than some items because of the quality and process behind it, but it's a ton of fun because you can wear it over any color(s). I want to wear it over a shift dress for the Jazz Age Festival in a couple weeks, actually! I haven't been able to find a cute, flapper-style lace dress and my white fringe one is too evening, so this is a good compromise. Mix some new with some old, I say!

Outfit Highlights: H&M sheer lace top, gap flats (which got cut off but are neon green!), and some gifted earrings and necklace.

Style Tip: Wear jeans, a cute shirt, flats, and your hair in an easy up-do to feel like a ballerina-off duty.

Song of the Day: Circle Game, one of my mom's favorites, by Joni Mitchell
