Spring 2015 Fashion Show Review: Nicholas K

My fashion week correspondent Robyn Bryant attended the Nicholas K fashion show this morning at Lincoln Center and gave me all of the details! The inspiration behind the latest collection for their Spring '15 line is the Sahara Desert. They set the mood with a desert club feel mix, and stuck to mostly khaki green, tan, black, and white. A pop of blue at the end was a random yet unnecessary surprise at the end. The collection started off with a green sophisticated tie dye print and moved into a mix of linen and leather. The mix between the heavy weight details and the flow of the garments kept the eye moving as the models sauntered down the runway. The fantastic use of horse hair on necklaces and belts would have stolen the show if not for the jackets, which were the best pieces in the show. These jackets could easily be integrated into any Fashionista's spring wardrobe. Fringe, drapey pants, cutouts, crossover shirts, and leather knee patch detailing added interest. Nicholas K stayed true to their brands' utilitarian style and neutral palette but they kept it interesting with new ideas.

Thanks again to Robyn Bryant for her lovely review on the show and expect more to come from Fashion Week soon!

As you know, it's a big challenge to take photos at fast-paced, bright-light shows without my photographer in the press pit (we have day jobs!) so I've sourced some photos of stand out looks from Style.com.
