"Trap door, trap door in the ceiling and the floor..."

Some of my favorite clothes and also the ones that I get complicated on the most my mother handsewed for me. This skirt is the latest addition to my closet made by Beth Wilson. I can't even describe how "me" it is. I've always loved turquoise and prints. It reminds me of a peacock a bit in the best way. I paired it with matching floral earrings and fringe sandals and a bright yellow, sheer blouse. I'm all about the versatility of basic blouses because you can wear them tucked in during colder months or tied up in the summer. While the skirt would look great with a less bold top, the yellow makes it a fun summery look. Plus the skirt has a cute yellow lining that
could peek out when I sit. Thanks again to my mom for making me what has ready become one of my favorite items in my closet!

"Pullin' weeds and pickin' stones, we are made of dreams and bones"

I visited The Longwood Gardens recently in Pennsylvania, which was owned and designed by the great entrepreneur Pierre du Pont. I highly recommend visiting the grounds, conservancy and house if you ever get the chance. It was one of the best gardens that I had ever been to! Of course I had to wear a very girly and feminine outfit. My best friend Jen also happened to wear a matching floppy hat which made for great photo opps. I wore a handmade lace skirt and a sheer blouse with blue ballet flats for a pop.

Style Tips: Why not dress like a storybook character on your next trip to a garden? Maybe it's just me, but I believe that it makes it even more fun to truly immerse yourself in whatever situation that you're in with your outfit!

"There'll be new dreams, maybe better dreams, and plenty..."

This safari-inspired look would definitely be approved of by Indiana Jones. I love a slightly wide brimmed fedora for this summer season. Any color works, but white looks fabulous with anything. This is an overall minimalist look as far as my wardrobe goes, with a vintage orange short sleeved shirt dress, simple white and brown sandals, and a shiny gold clutch. Sandals with a heel in a medium thickness that has clean lines is very in and that makes sense! You can dress them up or down with so many kinds of looks. What are you most excited to purchase and wear for the summer?

Style Tip: Get yourself a new fedora for the season! I love a white straw one because you can match it to almost anything.

"The stars at night turned deep to dust..."

This is a simple look, perfect for late Spring and early Summer weather. I love almost any clothing item that is crocheted. Throwing on a crocheted shirt or vest whether it is a neutral or colorful piece is perfect with a somewhat simple look. This orange top was an Easter gift from my mom and steals the look. Don't go overboard on bohemian accessories with it though, unless you want to look like a modern-day hippie at Coachella! I'm wearing simple denim shorts, classic brown sandals, and my favorite blue bag with gold jewelry.

Style Tip: Buy a crocheted piece and a cuff this summer for bohemian items that can be simplified with other classic items in your wardrobe.
