NYFW Special: Jay Godfrey Spring 2016 Presentation

Attendees to Jay Godfrey's Spring 2016 Presentation experienced an all-white palette presented next to a futuristic pyramid installation and white walls. Minimalist silhouettes and styling allowed the details of flounces, flairs, and pleats to really stand out. Unique style lines and fabric manipulation like pleats and cut outs were abundant. Black accents were scarce but Godfrey worked them in well when we used them.

Overall, Godfrey presented a wide range of wearable separates styled in a fashion forward way. Minimalist makeup and wet hair kept it edgy, and reflective sunglasses were perfect for the mix. The only color throughout was a touch of blue for the nails and some orange lips. A favorite look was a three piece long vest with hook-and-eye closure, no lapel, high-waist trouser, and cut out crop top. Also the cut-out jumper was a great fresh, minimalist design.
